Je cherche We are Joana and Samuel (Portugal and the Netherlands) and we are moving to Basel for studies from September onwards. We are looking for an apartment or room(s) in a shared apartment.

Je suis Joana is a singer, recorder player and musicologist who loves tranquility, feet in fresh river waters and alone time under the sun but also going to folk dance festivals, having long deep conversations with friends over a glass of wine, hiking in nature to save beetles turned upside down, reading stuff about the mind and human nature, dreaming about living off-grid, learning nerdy historical facts and stories about unknown people and places. All of these between her meditation sessions and some Netflix compulsive tantrums.
Samuel is a choir conductor, part time composer and soon to be master of early music theory; a cheerful, spontaneous lad and always full of creative ideas, who loves to nerd about medieval to jazz music, theology and psychology with a love for cinema and the occasional nostalgic videogame. A diligent cooker and aspiring to be a modern man, once a month he goes out of his way and spends hours cooking a Spanish dish from his infancy.

Fun facts about us:
We have converted a bright yellow van together this summer and now we know a lot about DIY so we should be able to fix issues around the house and construct basic functional furniture. We like to hike in nature on our time off and dancing folk dances in festivals and on street corners while waiting for the bus, playing recorder in the street for gas money, improvising music together or discussing the jungian archetypes found in mass media.
Being both musicians, we are actually quieter than you might think, and in general love having a clean living space with friendly neighbourly contact. We hope that maybe you can help us construct our new life with a room or two or an appartement in Basel or over the border in St Louis or anywhere our dutch bikes will take us!
